Enter on the ground level into a bright entryway. A doorway leads to the game room, & a half bathroom.

Cook to your heart's content in the sunny kitchen with granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, bar and table seating. A beautiful living room boasts cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams, a flat-screen TV, and a wood burning stove set among intricate stonework. (firewood is not provided) Take in the greenery of the mountainside from a wood deck off the living room.

Bedrooms 1 & 2 have queen beds and a shared full bath between the bedrooms. Folks over 5'10” will want to mind their heads in this nest-like area.

Bedroom #3 is the master, on the 3rd floor, has a king-sized sleigh bed, an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity sink, and a walk-in shower. Bedroom #4 is also on the 3rd floor, with a queen bed, there is a full bath in the hall that is .

A covered hot tub sits outside the master bedroom on a private deck—indulge, relax, and take in the pines, clear skies, and open air.

Please note this multi level home has many stairs between each and every floor.

Occupancy:
1. Per county rules: Weddings & or Parties are NOT allowed of any kind or size, on the property or at the house. You will be shut down immediately and will lose the security deposit and will be subject to more fines.
2. You are only allowed 10 persons at any time at the house. This includes any diners or gatherings you may have.
3. 4 cars allowed at house at any time. There is no street parking per county and fire safety rules. Failure to comply will result in loss of security deposit.
4. Please help us to keep our home a vacation rental. NOISE ORDINANCE 10:00pm TO 7:00am DAILY and is very strict in this neighborhood.

Parking is very limited, you will only fit 2 cars in the garage & 3 in the driveway. There is no street parking.

    Accuracy of description - Fair. In the photos, the house does not appear to have so many steps. In reality, it's over a hundred! Every room in the house is separated from the others by a flight of stairs, and the layout is a bit odd. You'll climb 20 or so steps to get from the front door to the living room. Also, the description says it sleeps up to 10 people, but in reality you have 3 beds (I believe 2 queens and a king) and a futon. In order to sleep 10, you need to bring some of your own sleeping gear. There is plenty of space, though!

    Cleanliness and maintenance - Very Good. The house was very clean! The only issue here is some of the doors are hard to secure closed due to frame fitting issues. A very minor issue in my opinion, as the place is very comfortable.

    Customer service - Excellent. Every step of the reservation, payment, and arrival process was very easy to follow, and the people who answered the phones were always helpful. There are notices all over the house to help you figure out how everything works, from the wifi to the furnace or television operation. There's only 1 thing I would suggest to improve here; we forgot a small item at home, and tried to have it delivered by a friend using the postal service overnight delivery. We didn't realize there was no postal service at the house until the item failed to arrive. Maybe put a notice in the reservation info packet? Either way, no big deal.

    Would I recommend? - Yes! The price is high, but there's enough space for at least 6 people comfortably, and 10 people if you're willing to sleep on a futon or bring sleeping gear, allowing you to easily split the cost. It's the best deal I could find in terms of dollar-per-square-footage.

    What did I enjoy the most? Beach access is a 3 or 4 minute drive away (but go early if you need to park, because they run out of parking space within half an hour of the beach opening). We had a lot of fun parasailing and rafting down Truckee

    Overall okay. The house is a very strange layout. Plenty of bedrooms, but way too many stairs. We couldn't find a broom to sweep the floors and some of the dishes were dirty.

      Thank you for your feed back. The house is advertised as a 4 level house so most 4 level houses have a lot of stairs.

    To say the layout was strange is an understatement. Definitely got a workout with all the stairs! Not at all pleased with the condition of the house. Felt run down. I laughed when I saw the sign that shoes were not allowed inside, it just wasn’t that type of house. Didn’t feel clean with all the cobwebs and dust. Very sparsely outfitted. A couple of nice decks but nothing to sit on! All that was covering the mattresses was a thin,fitted sheet. That grossed me out. The kitchen had decent accommodations. Got very hot in the house with all the levels and no AC. Did not like the neighborhood. Too residential and too tight. Roads too narrow to safely go for a walk. Just not what I expected.

    Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our stay.The location was close enough to stateline and in a quiet neighborhood, which was great. For lack of a better word, the house was dirty. There was a notice in the enterance that the house was a no shoes household (which was totally fine), but the carpet and hardwood floors were filthy. There was dust and cobwebs throughout the house and dead bugs on the window sills. On a positive note, the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and well stocked with towels and paper products. Unfortunately I would not stay here again.

    Pro:
    this house is close to everything. Grocery, restaurants, heavenly, etc. Convenient location.

    Con:
    Layout of the house is very strange. Tons of stairs. Aside from 2 guest rooms and 2 master bedrooms, no two rooms are on the same level.
    The guest rooms and bathrooms also have strangely low height, and big ceiling beams. I am 6'1 and bumped my head multiple times.
    Furniture and appliances are on the old side.
    Was told that multiple bath towels were missing a week after our stay, and got charged $35 for them. The 6 of us spent more than $2K on 3 nights of stay, I don't know why would any of us wants to take those used towels. But it's not significant enough amount to argue about.
